I recognize that I have been a terrible blogger for the last 6 weeks or so. The end of March and April were very busy! We had a great trip to San Diego right after my last post - and while we were there, Sam officially started crawling and also got two teeth! Wow! We couldn't believe he did both so early! So the first half of April was spent perfecting his crawling and also sitting up on his own. I would wake up in the middle of the night and Sam would be crawling around his crib and sitting there talking to himself. Once he got a hang of crawling, Sam started pulling himself up on everything!! Currently, he thinks that he can stand up all alone. This usually means him standing, letting go with one hand, balancing, letting go with the other hand, and then ka-boom on the floor. Result = bumps and bruises. poor guy. Of course, he doesn't really seem to mind! We are also thinking of contracting Sam out as a detective - he manages to explore and find every little thing that he shouldn't be touching!
Sam had an 8 month pediatrician appointment. The doctor was super impressed by his development and good nature :)

Sam is eating lots of different things, although mostly still likes purees. And yogurt! He typically makes a HUGE mess!
Otherwise, we've just been hanging out, seeing lots of friends, and trying to be outside when the weather is nice. We celebrated Craig's birthday which was fun (Sam wanted to be the first one to wish him a happy birthday, so woke up at 2am to do so!).
I'll try to be a better blogger in May!!!!
