Here we are at dinner one night, at the aptly named restaurant 'The Perfect Wife'

When we got to Vermont, there was very little snow on the ground. It was actually quite seasonal, with temperatures in the mid to upper 30s. The first day (Christmas) was very quiet, and we just relaxed around the hotel and Sam played on the bed...

Even though there wasn't much snow, I insisted on putting Sam in his snow suit and laying him in the snow... He couldn't really figure out the point - or why his hands were covered up with pink mittens!

He also thought that his snow suit tasted really good!

The next day was more relaxing, tennis for Craig, massage for me, lunch, a little outlet shopping and exploring Manchester...
On Sunday, we went for a hike

And then late Sunday night, it started to snow! Over the next 24-36 hours, it must have snowed 12-18 inches. It was really beautiful. And we really got to put Sam in the snow!

He made a snow angel...
And also a little snowman...

The snow was also perfect because we had planned a sleigh ride - so it was very picturesque on our two horse open sleigh as we went through the woods. The sleigh ride stopped halfway through for a bonfire (with marshmallows and hot apple cider).

After it stopped snowing, it got very cold - our last morning, it was only 5 degrees! So that was a good time to get in the car and head home.

Overall, it was a great first vacation for the three of us!
